Halience is an independent neuroscience research lab with the mindset of a Silicon Valley startup

We are a private research lab dedicated to the research of natural and artificial intelligence. Our goal is to understand human intelligence through the study of connectomics and translate those insights into advances in artificial intelligence.

We aim to bring together research scientists from top universities, software engineers from Silicon Valley, and professional managers from the business world to enable a new model of scientific research.

Research at Cortica is milestone-driven. Each project is headed by a Partner Researcher who leads a team of 2-3 Staff Researchers. Each research team is supported by dedicated Software Engineers help accelerate research.

We publicize our progress not only through publications, but also by hosting an “annual showcase” (similar to Apple’s WWDC), where latest insights, software, and potential commercializable products are announced to the world.
